Thank you for your interest in joining our DEI Book Club! Our goals for this club are to create a space for critical conversations around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) topics and to foster deeper connections within the EJP community. We’ll be diving into DEI Deconstructed: Your No-Nonsense Guide to Doing the Work and Doing It Right by Lily Zheng, which provides a candid, actionable look at DEI work and what it truly means to create change.
Our plan is to meet approximately three times during Spring semester to discuss the book. During these sessions, we’ll explore key concepts, share personal insights, and brainstorm ideas that could inspire future DEI projects within EJP. This is a great opportunity to learn from one another and potentially spark new initiatives to get more people involved in DEI efforts.
We understand that life can get busy, so please feel free to join even if you may have to miss a session. Consistent attendance is encouraged but not required—we want this to be an open, flexible space for everyone who’s interested.
If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, please fill out the form below to help us tailor the experience to fit the group’s needs and preferences. We look forward to learning, growing, and connecting with you!
If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to DEI coordinator Julia at dei@educationjustice.net
