Handling Your Nerves
Thursday Feb 6, 12 - 1pm
Whether it’s a Zoom presentation or a live audience, be prepared to handle the last-minute jitters. Reframe the experience, and utilize breathing and body-based techniques to calm the nerves and speak with confidence.
Elevator Pitch: Who are you and what do you do?
Thursday Feb 27, 12 - 1pm
Present Yourself – and your work with EJP – in a concise, confident way.
Learn what makes an effective “elevator pitch” – a short, informative statement about you and your work. You’ll craft your own concise “about me” statement to share when speaking about yourself and your work with EJP.
Group Coaching/Feedback
Monday March 3, 4 - 5pm
Group Coaching is your opportunity to work on any speaking or presentation-related challenge while receiving expert feedback and support from a coach and your peers. You can use your time to practice part of a speech or your elevator pitch; ask advice on handling questions, structuring your presentation, and more. Anything you want help on around public speaking, bring it!
Elevator Pitch: What’s EJP?
Thursday March 13, 12 - 1pm
Craft an Elevator Pitch about EJP. What do you say when someone asks about EJP? You’ll learn what to include (and not) and speak about the work of EJP in a concise, engaging way.
Speak with Strength
Wednesday April 2, 4 - 5pm
Learn the secrets of speaking with strength so you can project your most confident self!
Sometimes we inadvertently undercut our credibility, lessening the impact of our words.
Whether speaking about yourself, your achievements, or your work, learn the techniques to deliver a message with strength and impact!
